Has anyone fitted exhaust wrap?
I was thinking of fitting it to cover up the ugly connector between the can and pipe,it's also supposed to give a bit more power as well, also, black or white?

The way to go is Ceramic coating if you can find a local place to put it on. Traps as much heat as wrap but looks 2 million times better. Usually have a choice of 4 or 5 colours and lasts the life of the exhaust.
If you just do the exposed sections it shouldn't cost much.

Here is an example of the black.

not tried the ceramic coatings
but they do look bloody good, think they have to be applied to the inside of the pipes to retain the heat etc, in which case it's done to new pipes only(i think??)
i wrapped mine, takes virtually all the heat out. the frame and shock are now just warm after a good ride. they were untouchable before
it has got pretty dirty over the months, so maybe i would try black wrap next

it's deffo to the exterier and can be done at any point. It's a form of powder coating and applied in exactly the same way as normal powder coating. When heated it goes rock hard.

I had a manifold and headers done with it on a Renault 5 Turbo once to prevent vaporisation issues and it works a treat. Wrap is a lot cheaper though.

The Ducati guys in the US did it to stop the heat around the legs in traffic in hotter climes.
They probably both work equally well tbut he ceramic is just more cosmetic and longer lasting really.

I think with bloody Christmas coming up its gonna have to be the bandage wrap! Saying that, has the Euro been drawn yet?

I was Gona do my link pipe in black wrapping for the look !

Might be worth doing to allow the rear brake to work !

Also Arent you supposed to soak the wrapping in water first to expand a little then when it dries out it is super tight to the exhaust and seals correctly ?

some of the wrap's are better applied damp
mine had more like a wooly feel to it and didnt work too well when damp.
it had a higher temperature rating according to the blurb
