have a remus end can on my 2003 rsvr i notice on start up it sometimes back fires when it has done it once it seems fine it has the baffle out just wanted to make sure it will do no damage they can run on stock settings i was told

Go to the Remus web site Kirky, they say you do not need to change the original chip, im not an expert but are you riding yours at the moment or just starting it ? there could be unburnt fuel that makes the backfire when starting up, it never happened to me when the Remus was on my bike, wont do any damage mate :thumbup

hi mate have not been out on it guess its what you said unburnt fuel as not ridden it for 4 weeks and just starting up in the garage to keep the battery up

i used to start mine in the garage every week to charge battery a bit and that too would backfire then i got an optimate and never looked back its probally nearly paid for itself in fuel from keep starting it up, now it fires up first crank...:thumbup
