Hey guys,
I'm looking for cans and reading some info.
Firstly, Does anyone run a can without the race ecu/remap. if so, does it run too lean?
I'm looking at the GPR slash cut, looks good, any specific recommendations?
As the bike is brand new, I'm not going to disconnect the exhaust valve or anything like that for now. Just want a better sound and look.
Cheers

Lots of info on cans, db killers and ecu's on the AF1 forum site. Sorry to read about your experience with the BM, you wont be disappointed with the T.

Loud = Good. Do the baffles make any difference? Would it get through a 98db trackday with the baffles in?

It hasn't really got removeable baffles as such, just a reducers (as in port size ) you can remove, I don't think it makes much difference to the sound level, I haven't taken mine out as the sound is pretty crazy with them in, not sure on the db rating but I would say probably over 98????

Joined the darkside huh? Superduke sold? :thumbup

If you want to run 98db trackdays you need an akra ideally or arrow can WITH the flapper still connected or ziptied shut for noise testing you should scrape a 98.

My arrow with no DB killer and flapper disconnected is 103db 101/102 with db killer. GPR slash cut would probably not even get you on a 105db day!

Bollox,

Yeah, sold the KTM.
I really like the look of the slash cut, but I do a lot of track days, so it's prob gonna be a lot of hassle.
I read that the Leo Vince GP Pro is quieter with the baffle in. Anyone heard one?

I see your racing with No Limits this year Dan, I raced with them last year, was a good laugh. Gimme a shout when you're at Donington, I will pop up and say hello.
Do you know Dave Hewson?

Standard exhaust with flapper disconnected is 102/103 that gives you an idea, if you want to do trackdays as already stated Akra and Arrow are the only ones really that have sufficient length and baffling to get on lower days.

I did the first round on the Tuono and binned it big in the 3rd race undertaking a ZX10, almost finished rebuilding it........due to the expense only doing one or two more rounds, will be doing Cadwell next in August, not popping down to donnngton i'm afraid, was watching at Cadwell and that was hard enough :no

I did meet you breifly at Snett last year was with Stalker and Colenel pit boarding for them at the NL round.

Yes I know Dave he did my valve clearances the other week, top bloke :thumbup

Ahh, tough one mate.
I had a massive off at Craner last year, broken neck, broken back, blah blah blah. It's hard trying to rebuild a bike.
We're you hurt?
I do remember meeting you now.
Yeah, Dave is a top fella.

No injuries thankfully, walked away totally unscathed, just old injuries from a broken leg playing rugby 18 months ago, credit card took most of the hit will be paying that off over the winter :yes least my bike needs nothing as is as good as its going to get.

Hope you have healed now?

I got a cut down by 85mm Akra kit if your interested fella ?

Bit of grazing (see pic) but not really noticed when fitted"¦.

Although it is a catted link pipe, the gubbings have been removed so really it is a straight through race pipe.

£500 smackers delivered"¦.

Yeah, pretty much sorted, my left arm and left upper body was paralysed, I've probably got 80% power back and about 70% feeling. Think I'll always have pins and needles in that area.
3 breaks in my neck are perfect, two break in my back are good, one vertebrae was crushed by nearly an inch so I'm shorter..haha
Other than that, all good

Akra looks good mate, but is a bit out of my price range to be honest.

Cheers

Foook! I guess I should just be happy I have a big repair bill and no injuries........least its not the throttle arm :yes

Had a Austin Racing GPR2 pipe fitted and the exhaust valve cables removed from my bike from new by the supplying dealer and it runs spot on. Rob
