would a 2002 rsv work well with out a end can, getting a system off of a rsvr with the twin exhaust and had the idea of having side exhaust system that just came out the fairing with a slash cut, would any one know if this would work before i start cutting ?
as a idea of my plan would look a bit like a ktm system off of the rc8

Hi there. What twin exhaust system is it that you are buying with a view to cutting down? Be warned that RSV's with little to no silencing are seriously loud! So you'd need to work in some internal baffling of some description.

hi rsv rider, let me know how your project goes, i want to do the same thing, honda v5 style, but was trying to find out what type of power commander/tune boy box to use first to get the fueling spot on.... as caterpillar says it'd be bloody loud tho... :biggrin :devious

+ 1 on that.

I've taken the baffle out of my Scorpion can and I'm waiting for the Old Bill to request a quiet word everytime I go out.

On the plus side, since I've had the can open I've got to 110 miles and no sign of the low fuel light coming on,the major surprise was only getting £11.70 worth of fuel in.

It's not because I've been keeping the revs down either,I've found it seriously likes being uncorked and have been revelling in the new performance available.:inlove

WHAT!

why not just remove the exhaust tailpipe on the existing system first and take it for a ride, you may notice that EVERYBODY stares are you and your ears bleed.
i would imagine that slash cutting a twin pipe setup under the bike would probably double the noise again

it would look nice but please don't start it up unless you can post a video of the event in a public place on here :pirate

good luck you crazy mad man

Make sure you have plenty of swabs to clean up all the blood that spurts out of your ears lol. I've got a stubby can on mine and its seriously loud but sounds fantastic. Good luck dude :thumbup

dont cut the twin system !!!!!! please, have my single and cut that :lol

dawn thats going to be loud :lol

Don't do it!
You'll get people looking at you everywhere you go, it'll piss off the coppers, the neighbours and anybody else within 100 yards of you!
If Valentino Rossi is man enough to admit he needs a silencer then I think we should too!

Only plus side is you'll save 3kg over a single pipe set-up, but lose 3 trillion brain cells everytime you ride without ear plugs

mate take a look at my profile and in particular the album titled dutch **** ...i wish there was someone in the uk who could do this !!!:devious

Mate its using less fuel because it is running lean, you're running the risk of melting pistons/valves mate be careful.:no

If you've never heard a road bike without a silencer I'd recomend you take yours off first and start it up. Yes its loud but it sounds bloody awful. You dont get to hear the lovely deep rumble associated with a twin all you hear is a loud crackly explosion!:pirate:megaphone

It is not a nice sound. You would need some baffles of some description to create the nice deep noise we all know and love, not to mention you will need some back pressure or the engine will not run right. See above re runing lean.

Keep us posted with whatever you do

Butch your Dutch **** system is something we will be starting work on in the next few weeks:devious, it will be for the early model first with the later model to follow, would be interesting to know how much interest there would be.:thumbup

tash i would sell my wifes kidney for it ,,,theres your interest so far mate lol keep me posted mate

butch that is what im building but with a twin system flames out both sides seems fun, need to mod prototype its a bit loud but not as loud as with no exhaust

also going with a 1 off paint job, having whole bike in white with air brushed in skulls and verious other stuff, if any one is interested in custom exhausts and paint jobs get in contact and ill give u my mates number, to start u off take a look at

www.unique-concepts.biz

im interested in getting my silver panels done mate similar to the dutch **** one but with a black lions head instead of the orange watcha reckon ???? allright how much??? lol

Whats the internal arrangement inside this box? Can see the weld patterns on the outside but they dont give too much clues to what path the fumes have to take and how well they flow. How does this affect tuned length?

This is a tidy system, would love somthing like this but have a few hang ups -
Insurance after fitting this will be a *****
Lots of heat under the bike being radiated from all that surface area.
Looks heavier than a regular system with afermarket can.
