Do they peel off, perhaps starting them with one of those plastic knives ?
Maybe heating them up with a hair dryer to soften the glue (you wont be using yours for anything else Brooksy)
Then try, petrol, acetone, lighter fluid etc to clean off the glue.
Try it on a hidden bit in case it reacts with the surface of the can.
Or do what I did & swap them over to hide the stickers.

I was at the barbers yesterday getting a trim & even the lads sitting waiting their turn were taking the piss out of me about my lack of thatch.
