Soooo, I currently have Devil cans on my Gen2 Tuono and my neighbours are getting thoroughly pissed off with me waking them up when I leave for work every morning (I refuse to put in silencers as ruins the sound too much). Is there anyone out there, by chance, who has a set of Akropovic cans on their bike and think they're not loud enough, and wants a set of cans that make your bike sound ridiculously loud?! If so, I would love to swap as I need something slightly less aggressive.

Also, am planning an Alps trip this summer, anyone got any tips and hints for touring on a Tuono??

Cheers. Hope you've all enjoyed the recent sun, although short.

Hi,

I currently have Akras on my gen2, which sadly Im quite happy with and am not looking to swap. They arent offensively loud but sound much nicer than the standard cans.

As far as touring goes I would definitely recommend the ermax screen, I fitted one for a French trip last year and it made a big difference.

I guess Im preaching to the choir here, but given the tuonos thirst, Id recommend planning a route with fuel stops in mind - and remember that in France, most places (including provincial petrol stations) seem to be closed, most of the time, which caused me a few nervous miles with "trip-meter fixation" ;-)

I found my gen2 to be more than comfy enough, though we didnt rack up any more than 300 miles a day, and we kept to the twisties as much as possible.

I bought the 10L kreiga tank bag, which is a bit of a fiddle to get on and off, and while it was small enough not to get in the way of the clocks, I found it a bit too small to be really useful and wished Id bought the 20L one.

Have fun in the Alps, and as Im a fellow suffolk boy Ill give you a wave if we bump into eachother.

Cheers Ian, sound advice. Ive been looking at the 30L Kriega bag but not sure I can justify the £100?! A ruck sack may just have to do. Screen wise, I'm struggling to find an Ermax but will definitely try and find one as I've read that they're pretty essential.

Fuel has been a worry, but my brother will be on a 990 SuperDuke so at least we'll run out together!!

I'm sure we'll see each other on the roads soon. Cheers again for the advice, and give me a shout if you ever want to get rid of your Akras :thumbup

Alps, yep, done that.
The T is the shizzle for those roads.

Luggage wise, it's got to be Ventura.
Everything else is mediocre by comparison.

Hi Snelly,

I got my ermax from Demon Tweeks, only took a week to arrive. Looking on their site though there is no price against them, just a "call" so I dont know if that means they are out of stock. Think I paid around the £45 mark for mine.

whatever screen/luggage combo you choose, have a great trip.

cheers
