Rock solid are dem Tuoldo's. Their's loads of high mileage T's and Falco's about. 80k-90+k aren't uncommon.

I'll have to give u my number mate. I was looking to go out for a quick ride about 6.30ish somewhere but couldn't be arsed on my own. U could have even called in for a cuppa as wife was in cribbs shopping and little one stayed up his grandparents. Could have run you experienced eye over out half finished extension

i was in the genny car park at about 7 ish - tell u what bay - pm me your phone numb m8 :thumbup

No mate. Late 07 built motors onwards, and as it's already been said, it is actually very rare, those that go, usually go in the first few thou. This could actually be totally unrelated. :dunno
AF1Windy blew his (the one in the video) with the throttle pinned to the stop, flat chat in top on a french autoroute, with about 1200 miles on the clock. luckily it was also only a few months old so his rebuild was both FOC and fairly swift.

Gen 1 uses the earlier version of the motor, smaller valves in the head, smaller throttle bodies. These early engines can run for huge mileages, Faceslider on AF1 has just sold his at over 90k, some Falco's have clocked over 120k. The usual niggles on the early motor is the sprag clutch, which is more related to poor starting, from crap Italian electrics and a poorly charging battery.......we know a song about that :)

i had a word today with the all seeing all knowing Griff - some say he can sniff out a big end bearing at a 1000 yards - others say he eats aprilias for breakfast - we just know him as Griff !! :yes he say aprilia/rotax did make a batch of dodgy engines but theres no pattern to which bike, year affected etc & that they would usually go in the very early stages of life.....p.s himself, sharron & co are well up for a curry/beer or 2 in Bristol on 16th (italia auto festival if anyones forgotten). :cheers

Well got the estimate for the repair, rebuild with my crank reground, £1,800, rebuild with new crank and rods £2,300, bugger time to start saving

To get 90,000 on my bike with the amount of mileage I do would take me about 14 years. Flippin eck

went and saw my engine today, what a fookin mess:eek both bigends have no white metal on them at all and off the side of one bearing was a large piece of swarf, it looked like the bearing had delaminated and the white metal had peeled off (i know it can't be that's what it looked like)
still had a result for the rebuild, a new crank is £1016.45:thumbdown but i found a brand new one still in wrapper for £545:thumbup now just gotta find another £1300 and we're sorted:crazy
