planning on building a streetfighter type special from scratch. Giving myself till im fourty so have plenty of time to pratice and make each part. (frame, swingarm, tank, bodywork)

Was wondering which v twin engine to use so want some info and opinions. Would like to know the weight of the new and old engine rsv with all the needed parts(tb's, ecu, starter, alternator etc including water and oil. Im thinking the lighter the better and every bit helps.

I have tried looking on google but can not seem to find engine weghts.
Thought about using a two valved air cooled ducati as 100bhp(ish) would be ok in a really light bike.
Any thoughts or piss taking welcome!

Aircooled would look nice on a fighter mate, but i wouldnt use a duc lump, nothing against em, just too expensive to maintain imo. Use any rsv lump or even a tl1000r motor, they have some serious grunt!

was wondering how efficient and complex the benelli tornado under seat radiator setup would be to tidy up a fighter

+1
From the 2005 engine workshop manual:

Engine dry weight = '~67kg'
