You'll be fine mucker. Griff at AP uses 10/40 semi at oil changes and to my thinking it makes sense. The operating temps the bike run in the UK don't warrant the use of 15/50.
You've already got the 15/50 fully synthetic and the book says 15/50 semi so putting a higher grade oil in will do no harm.

Yeh agree with Aldo, when I be doing my oil changes I will be using halfords 10w40 semi as I've used this oil for almost 20yrs and for £24 5ltrs carnt be bad I do frequent oil changes anyway n not had probs with all the bikes I've had n I've ad a fair few, 15w50 is ok in Italy n Germany has they are a fair few degrees warmer than the uk, when ya think about it when the oil is up too temp it will be the same as any weight oil,
