Cam chain is auto adjusted oil pressure.

If it is the cam chain making the noise it could be the adjusters have an issue but you might want to check it against another rsv. The rotax twin isn't the quitest motor out there and it may be normal.

Is the chain noise on when the bike is stationary and reved to 6000 or while your riding,
just when riding if my drive chain is a bit slack it rattles of exhaust, and sounds like a cam chain rattle.

i had a rattle on a previous rsv 2002 vintage , sounded like a chain clanging about it was mainly noticeable on acceleration , turned out one of cam-chain adjusters had got stuck , got a new one job done easy to change

Hello,

My RSV Mille -00 keeps quite awful noise through 3000 - 5000 rpm. I'm quite sure that the sound comes from the right side of the engine. It's not drive chain because i can hear it even when standing still and revving on neutral. I can't really describe the sound in great detail, but in nutshell it quite high, swirling sound, maybe a bad bearing?

What sources there could be? Cluch maybe, is the water pump at the right side?

Thanks
