Hi Guys. I'm brand new to this forum and have picked up a 2001 RSVR in Yellow with only 7k on the clock about three weeks ago.
Love the bike and was riding it back home through a heavy shower the other day. Got it home and the alarm (Absolute Protec) wouldn't activate. The immobiliser came on as normal (auto activation after 30 seconds). Then tried the bike and it wouldn't start. Checked the fuses and both the ignition fuse (15 amp) and the alarm fuse had blown. Everytime I replace the ignition fuse and turn the key round it blows without me even trying to start the bike and the alarm fuse also blows everytime I replace it afte about 2 seconds of the alarm going off. Do you think these things are connected and due to the shower I rode back in? I'm useless with electrics so if any of you have any idea what to check first they would be much appreciated.
