I washed my bike today and now I am getting a EFI message. I keep getting it every few minutes and then it goes away and the temperature comes back. The bike rides perfectly fine idles great and the TPS is at a perfect zero when the idle is off and at a 1 after it has been adjusted. What could it be?

just a damp connection after being washed it will dry out ,has happened a few times with mine aswell, can also happen with heavy rain

If you're getting water in your connections I'd check the brown connector as they're prone to get water in and then the problems start.

(Not related to your EFI error, just something to be aware of)

yeah these bike do not like getting wet, three times my 02 died in heavy rain.
and whilst yer at it , as said, change the brown connector under tail piece..BEFORE it melts..and it will
