so this is the same problem I posted about earlier, but I thought if I put the code in the title, someone might know something. I'm getting EFI code 0 and the red warning triangle on my dash. all the lights come on, then turn off, except oil pressure, headlights are bright, battery is charged, but when I hit the start button nothing happens. No cranking, no dimming lights, nothing. Ideas?
so as per my other post, apparently EFI 0 means "you're a complete lackwit, not fit for breeding" thanks for everyone's suggestions!

This is my first post on here. I possibly have the same problem as you. I own a 2006 RSV1000R with 22000kms. I live in Gosford NSW.
Mate, I went for a ride on the Saturday without issue. Parked the bike in the garage overnight. Went to start the RSV on Sunday morning and received the same errors as you it seems.
EFI light on, red warning triangle, electrics work e.g. Headlights, instrument panel, 11.5 volts on the readout.
I then turned the bike on in diagnostic mode and no error code displayed, just EFI 0.
When I hit the starter button I hear the starter working, however the engine isn't cranking over.
I checked the oil level and it was just below minimum (please don't judge), so I did an oil change instead of topping up. I thought at first it may have been the oil pressure sensor, as it was below minimum. Now that it is full I would have thought the sensor would have reset itself. It that was the problem after all...
I put a new stator in OCT 2013... Actually I got the original rewound.
I'm at a loss as to where I need to go....

It sounds to me like this could be your immobiliser. Do you have a separate alarm or immobiliser or the standard one that came with the bike? If you know someone with and RSV it might be worth swapping out the immobiliser ECU to eliminate that.
It might also be worth disconnecting the ECU to reset?

my useless battery was a Motobatt - 11 months old in fact. I bought a Yuasa, chucked it on the trickle charge to be sure and then installed. Went through the 15 sec turn on then turn off sequence. cycled through to the volt metre, which displayed 12.1 volts. Sigh.... same as my last battery. I turn it over and straight down to 9 volts under load... again, sigh. So I checked all the connectors in the tail and under both the L and R side fairings. Opened them all and gave them a little wipe. Sprayed a little contact spray for good measure too.
I haven't removed the tank or nose yet.
Starter solenoid is from a Yamaha, I have a rewound stator and I removed the brown connector plug under the reg/rect for also good measure!

Finally located the source of my problem.
The long of the short is the EFI light was the result of a blocked fuel filter. I removed the tank, the hoses and plate underneath the tank which revealed the fuel pump, lines and filter.
Removing the filter I saw that the fuel exiting one of the spouts was black. I cut the thing in half with a hack saw to get a closer look and sure enough it was simply blocked.
The bike has 25000kms and servicing was up to date according to the log book.
So if anyone encounters a similar problem, be sure to check the filter when the EFI light presents itself. It's a mongrel job but it could save you an expensive bill at the mechanic.

just trying to check error code on mine bike just now.. cuz mine bike is running perfectly at all..
press and hold the lap button > switch on ignition > hold the button for 15sc..
the EFI word came out.. but no error code at all.. so what is that mean? is there anything wrong on the injector?
