To cut a long story short....
I had to have the ECU changed on the bike as it was blowing up coils. Before it went pop the bike was putting out 132bhp at the back wheel with a custom mapped PC3.
I picked the bike up with the new ECU and on the same dyno the bike was only putting out 118bhp! I am guessing the new ECU was different somehow so the adjustments made by the PC3 were making it run terrible.
With some work on mapping of the Power Commander I am back up to 128bhp and although I now have much more bottom end and mid range it seems to have lost 4bhp from about 10,000 rpm.
To be honest I am not bothered as the bike will now ride faster and pull harder as it has more power and torque everywhere apart from 10,000 rpm. I was just wondering why the new ECU would be different and how the power seems to have shifted. Any thoughts?
When I get the graphs uploaded from the dyno I will show you what I mean.
