Would have preferred a Triton (Ogri's bike) from that Era, but TBH 1960 bikes are all *****.

Scarily Royal Enfield are still made in India....

Here's a pic of my old Triton. Wideline, '61 T120R Bonnie. Not in the least bit *****. At least when it didn't rattle itself apart!

Nice looking bike.

Back when we were lads a mate (same lad who just painted Liz's Tuono actually) used to ride a Bonneville, and had a Trident etc. I had a CB750F2 SOHC Honda at the time. I seriously over revved my bike when it jumped out of gear (getting airborne over a hump) and bent a few valves.

I was still waiting for parts so I rode it to Silverstone to watch Kenny & Bazza etc. (not THE year sadly) and rode it home.

On the way home we found Mark at the side of the road, bolting his Bonnie back together. He was so pissed off with his bike falling to bits - rubbed in by the fact mine should be dead but still ran, that he promptly flogged it and got a Jap mutli. Yamaha XJ650 ISTR.

I think he has a VTR at the mo.

You forgot the oil leak , unless you welded up the engine

Ogri`s bike "Armageddon" was indeed a Norvin.
He tried a scooter once with a kwak engine in.

LOL! That pic was taken just after a rebuild, it had been started, but sure hadn't run for long!

Although at times I wish I hadn't sold it, I too got fed up with having to fix it by the side of the road (usually to put the exhausts back on) so I sold it and got a ZXR750, my only Jap bike since about 1996. Everything since has been Italian, with one Hinckley Triumph thrown in.
