easy or hard

yes mate its a oo . was looking on net earlier to see could i see how they are put in but no luck and have no manual.

it is very easy job to do bud, remove belly pan and side fairing remove clutch casing 4mm alen key hang to the side ,hold centre 6 mm alen key and remove 19 mm nut on the end of the push-rod ,lift of the rubber diaphram and washers ,undo the 6 10mm bolts and and springs on the pressure plate and pull off .pick out all the plates keep them in the same order you took them off in. then fit your new plates build back together in reverse order .its as easy as that mate . mind and clean and oil all the bits mate as a clean jobs a good job  i would recomend changing the clutch pressure plate bearing at the same time..

clutch pressure plate bearing part number is = 16004 size is 20 / 8 / 42 look in my bearing and seals post for phone number for the bearing 01772 622543 steve at bayliss

remember not to pull your clutch lever in untill its all back together .

as said it is 'easy' if you service the bike yourself then you are probably capable of replacing the clutch.

this Parts Digram might be helpful and there are quite a few free downloadable manuals just ask Google :thumbup

Hey guys bit off a long shot but seems the right place to ask changing the plates on my 2004 rsv loosened my clutch cover but it seems stuck to the diaphragm and im nervous of getting to rough and causing my self more probs just checking im not missing anything. Think im probably just being a wimp and don't want to break her lol

Be brave ....new diaphragm isn't too expensive anyway.

You could always use a pallet knife to go around pad the edge to free it up

Thanks for the help got it sorted shes nearly set for her mot ( didnt realise diaphragm was the gasket doh )
