dyno time

how long is a bike needed on a dyno to be set up,ive just changed my exhaust over and want to get it checked out ,ive been quoted 3 hours!!!!!,is this right?also can anyone recommend anywhere in the southern region,reading ,surrey,oxford way dont mind travelling .seems a long time to tune a bike but all new too me.

Shop will need to do a base run then 2-3 power runs to get some data to work from so they can find a state of tune for your bike , as a rule they let the bike cool down after each run for abit so as not to get incorrect readings from the bike been to hot so it all takes time & if setting up a Tuneboy or PCIII it may take most of the day if starting from scratch & installing the gear . dyno

Bike has been fitted with airbox tubes collector and pc 3 already by place ive used before,ive just changed the exhaust system,just want to know does it take 3 to 4 hours to re tune with a change of exhaust?.

Depends how good they are really would have thought maybe 1,1/2 - 2hrs tops if bike is already set up with the gear

Have been quoted 2 hours, only to run a custom map, thats all :thumbup

Hi, enjoyed the chat yesterday eve. Forgot to say Dynotech in Basingstoke are well thought of dyno / tuners who do most club racers in the area. They should google easy enough, if not contact me and I can get details. I think they also do custom PC maps.
