Dumb Question's or are they?

Okay I had a good chance to to become reaquainted with "Frankie" today and by and large it was a good experience (damn never thought I would say that :eatcorn).
One thing I noticed more than most was a vibration (but not harsh or very strong) around 3-4000 rpm and sometime depending on the gear I was in it stayed around as I got up the rev range - Is this a normal RSV V-Twin vibe ?.

Also I noticed that the bike idled quite quickly, maybe 1500 rpm or a little bit higher.What should it idle at (1250rpm ?)

And last question...................................please explain whay I took the really looooong way home tonight :pirate:dunno
 
:thumbup awesome you rode frankie.set the rs at 1250 should be good and the vibration sounds pretty normal.And the reason you took the long way home is you were enjoying your steed good times my freind good times.I am glad you riding the beast.:biggrin donnie
 
They are quite a lumpy motor mate don't worry too much. Keep an eye on it just in case it develops further, especially after what happened.

Idle RPM is around 1250 give or take a few.
 
groover im gonna be around your neck of the woods when im on tour , i'd be happy to look over it and hopefully smooth any issues over for you?

perhaps go forra tearup ??? my bikes off the road at the mo as i lent my fork leg to a customer whos fork had cracked...top chap i couldnt see him ride home on the train , it just wasnt happening!!
