Dr Rossi Eprom / Hooked Airbox

Hi all, been flicking through the pages over the past few days and keep seeing these bits being mentioned - thought I stump up the courage to ask what they actually are ? - I`m guessing the Eprom is some sort of mod to the bike's ECU and the Airbox is again, just a mod. What sort of gains do you get. My `08 RSVR is totally standard, would I get any benefit from both/either or do you need an after market can ? Forgive the ignorance, I can ride a bike (altought some may question that!), but in terms of the mechanicals :dunno

By the way, thanks to anyone who has replied to my previous posts or any which may come up - "until you ask you don't know"

The eprom is for the older style rsv <04, yours need a software upgrade, but only for open cans.

The filter kit is a diferent type of filter than the stock closed. It adds a bit more power.

Are they worth it? Well to each its own, the bike is preaty good from stock and would benefit more from other changes. It all depends what are you looking for, for the street stock its oke. For the track I would first sort out the suspension(properly serviced and set up) and gearing, than maybe the exhaust and all the other mods... If you have money to spend its a cave without bottom

One more thing, when reading about mods on the forums you always have to take it a bit less seriously (goes for this forum too), some people will tell you that every thing they do to the bike (even just changing the light bulb) has transformed the bike , but all the mods just a bit more personal touch to the bike. Some people even see the grass grow

espeacially if you fit an HID kit
