Doing a Charity Cycle Ride for Royal Marsden......

If you've clicked on this thread, thanks. Basically my Mum, Mum-in-Law and Uncle have all been diagnosed with cancer this year. My way of coping with this is to do something to raise money for the Royal Marsden, who have been treating my Mum. Both the Mum's prognosis are good, My Uncle isn't going to be so lucky they think.

It's Christmas so I'm not expecting you to sponsor me now, no hard sell, but I would like you to maybe put a bit of loose change by between now and March/ April when I'll remind you, even if it's only £1. I've already nearly got £100 from work colleagues and other people who have been affected by cancer and I haven't even started asking yet!!

About the Cycle Ride.....I'm going to be doing the Nightrider (see www.nightrider.org.uk) cycle ride around London. I will be paying the £99 entry out of my own pocket so that ALL donations can go to charity. As a shiftworking parent of very young children the 62 mile ride at night will be quite demanding so bear that in mind.

There is no charge for this service apart from the donation, of which 100% goes to The Royal Marsden via Vodafone's JusttextGiving service.

I'm on £450 now, trying to get to £500. If anyone can donate even £1 it all helps. If anyone is coming to the Essex service and shine day you can bring some money with you, if not then donate on the links above.

Mum's in remission now so as far as I'm concerned these guys have saved my Mum's life.
