does coring the 04 reduce back pressure?

hi on the 04+ coring the exhaust to 2.5inch as shown in the how to isn't that a bit too big? would having such a huge ID had adverse effects to the performance?

cheers

dont know but i dont think plod would be far away with the noise etc

Would this graph answer your question as this is the bike those cans are on

aren't these RSVR 121bhp standard? what did you do to raise it such a conciderable amount? also what diameter tube did you use?

As in an earlier post of mine I understand that the Dynojet Dyno is somewhat optimistic in its readings.

I shortened mine by 4" and removed guts a few year ago, but they were to loud for me.
did notice increase in bottom end power and engine braking, but put standard cans back on.

It's not so much the power figures i am showing the graph for as the smoothness of the curve, these are more important IMO.

The bike has PC111 and homer ewe airbox mod with a custom map to suit, standard headers and cored standard cans.

Runs sweet as a nut although loud with no baffles in, loud as in a deep bellow rather than a rasp:thumbup

dont think you could get better lines than them Badger:thumbup

If only my own lines were as good:rotfl

BPS

It might run OK without, but i doubt it, a PC111 and some dyno time to custom map it will give best results mate:thumbup
