I've heard of it happening before where the flywheel was removed with a very hot flame and the when it was reassembled the charging system was up the **** due to the magnets being damaged by the flame. I guess if you're careful and gentle enough, then... your call mate! It pays to lock the engine, theres a special length bolt you can get (there should be a thread on here somewhere with a photo or two showing which bolt hole it is.. its on the RHS down low and the bolt is rather long so that it locates the crank at TDC i think?) I guess you could give it a go without locking tho, maybe chuck it in gear with your mate forcing down on the rear brake (cos they're ********* the rear brakes) however I'm talking solely about the 05 RSV, the 02 maybe different? good luck
