Dodgy tank of juice

My 4K mile V4 has always run sweetly. Had it serviced about a month or 2 ago, and havent ridden it much since.

About a week ago I noticed the vibrations getting fairly heavy through the bars, pegs and even could feel it through the frame on my legs. I took it to the dealer to get it checked out and they reckon nothing wrong at all.

On the way home I had to fill up and it seemed as I got through the new tank it is getting better.

So my question is this: would a dodgy tank of juice cause the motor to run rough? and: What are the odds on getting a tank of juice that would cause this?

Hi fluke

This may be a long shot but after what you have said I would suspect a balance problem, similar to the lead weights on your wheels! If you were getting vibration then filled up adding weight and then it stopped I would check everything is bolted and tight, something loose could alter the balance of your bike. see what happens as you use up your fuel, does it come back!

A very very long shot I know but look at the difference those small pieces of lead make when balancing wheels, you never know.

Actually, there might be some mileage here. Being as I haven't ridden much since the service, and I am sure they take the tank off for the service and adding weight to the tank reduces the vibes = possibly a tank that hasn't been located or fastened properly.

Will have a look, thanks!
