today the dash displayed the word "service" along with the red warning triangle, so I did the ecu diagnostic check and found

p-code 0130
a-code 46
lambda
so now the question, do I need a new lambda sensor or is there something more going on

Yer been through the Mill wae yer T mucker.

I've nae idea aboot the sensor but I know that all sorts poor lecky connections can create havoc wae finding service code faults.

Whit I mean is don't believe whit the code is sayin, spend some time wae the lecky diagrams.

Good luck mucker, if abod deserves a break wae their T it's YOU.

cheers Aldo, lost me rag a bit with it last night and thrashed its arse, would you belive it the fault cleared itself, 80ish miles later its still ok, spoke to steve at SP motorcycles and he days it will be an intermittent fault till the sensor is changed (£250 inc vat) BUT just found a fully working one on Egay for£19.99 so worth giving that a punt for the time being

CTD, I've had a similar issue with a cam sensor fault code, thing is it's not the cam sensor (three replaced sensors) that's the problem.

Good luck wae it mucker and I hope the replacement sensor sorts yer prob. :thumbup

Are yer still runnin aboot on yer Orange. :flip

yep my 660 and 540 are going very well Ta

I have been through the connectors and sprayed them with switch cleaner and I gave them a rub with silicone grease that should sort it but if it comes back then the new sensor will be a good stand by

map 2 akros, same as I have been running from new in 2008, ive changed the sensor at the weekend and so far no faults, but still early days

Right...Map II...the lambda sensor is actually out of the equasion, ('closed loop' I think it's called?) so it wouldn't make any difference swapping it out.

ok?? but I've been through various connectors around the bike, given them a squirt if switch cleaner a rub of with a fine wire brush with a birthday smear of silicon grease, the only thing that has made a lasting difference is swapping the sensor(140ish miles)
wait and see time I think

Just a thought...sometimes, the engines can stutter a bit when you start them warm....no idea why....mine sometimes throws up a code....i think it does so when the mixture is overly rich....Switch off/on and it clears.
This is pretty common...nothing wrong, just an occasional glitch.

i'll keep you all posted if the problem returns
