Sorry if this has been covered before but is the simplest way of disconnecting the exhaust valve to just unplug the electric socket or disconnect the cables at the exhaust valve ? thanks very much in advance for any advice.

you can't unplug the socket without throwing a fault code, unless you have the race map installed, when i done mine i disconnected them at the servo end, though many have also done the exhaust side, both do the same job.

yeah and your servo has proberly over rotated and if it needs to go in for warrenty work make sure you dont do a map update as this will defo throw a fault even if you reconnect it

plus the servos are hard to find as every one disconnects them and piaggio know this andd wont honour the warrenty!!!:bawling

Not sure what you mean by over rotated. Put my cables back on yesterday and all works fine with no faults showing. Are you saying don't disconnect the valve or don't remove cables or what.

no what im saying as there is nothing for the servo to stop ie the end of the butterfly in the exhaust, so what happens the servo over rotates and as the gears are plastic they strip

and if you reconnect without knowing the servo is ******, when they flash and go through learning it will throw a fault, you get me lol

if you want to disable the servo youll will need a Race ecu
