I changed my brake disc bolts on my ride to stainless as the originals were getting a bit manky (especially the front) and when I came home from work tonight my speedo no longer worked!....weirdly, I didn't notice it not working on the way to work!...which shows how observant i am!.
I know the speedo works by a sensor reading the bolt speed..least I think so, but why does it matter what metal they are? stainless is still magnetic
Anyway I stuck the old ones back on and it works again but i'm stuck with iffy bolts...Any ideas?, or is it just coincidence?:dunno:dunno:dunno

Hi. Most stainless steel used in bolt manufacture are of a grade thats non magnetic. Mabe thats the problem.

Stay safe.:cheers
