I went on the first Saturday with 2 mates we go every year !! its a nice weekend away for me as I stop over nr coventry at a mates house ,its a work in progress 6 bedroom mansion .
the show was all a bit of a blur now over a week later !!:lol .
I didn't even look at the aprilia /piaggio stand as you are usually met with disinterest by the " staff " manning it !!
not much in the way of freebies again not even any real bargains either not that I was looking for owt .however the "" free "" oxford lock I got is excellent .
I did have a good look at barry sheens bikes one of which I saw him racing on at assen over a decade ago .
the guy supposedly rebuilding one of bazza,s bikes must have played with the same part over and over thoughout the day :lol
are we supposed to believe that a priceless racing icon was actually being restored / rebuilt with all the distraction at the show ???
I was a good day out doubtless I will be there next year too !! next year ill try and get in as a pensioner and save a few quid !! £ 25 !!!!!! I do remember grizzling at it being a tenner
Yes the admission and parking is a bit of a rip off but I generally only go every other year, like you say no bargains to be had and I thought it was quiet too
at least we got to look at bikes whithout the kids playing at rossi / marquez on the race rep joint pain inducers !!!
yes the parking is a bit pricey these days and now that bham city council is not in charge , the organization is crap .!! you end up driving round and round following the herd !!
some fit looking young girlies going to the comic convention when we went , that was on in the adjacent halls !!!
weird but whatever float your boat , they probably think bikers are weird !!
A bit to far for me and if I did go by the time I paid for digs, beer, entry, nosh, beer, travel, beer, oh and some more beer a widnae have any dosh left for buyin somat worthwhile.
Apart from the beer a didnae reckon it wiz worth the effort.
