Hi All, has anyone installed a gear indicator on an 05 Factory? Spoke to the suppliers about the wiring and he gave me the colours of the wires to splice into at the rear of the clocks. green/red supply ok, neutral grey/black ok, speedo grey/white trace not found, and tacho yellow/black spot not found.
Any ideas if the colours were changed for the 05? His wiring came from an 04.Cheers in advance!

Hi Smudge,I have the Datatool on My '01 Mille and would not recommend it.I had it progammed right once but had to reconnect and now it only works on N,2, 5 & 6.I believe it is due to a lower pulse in the harness on the Aprilia ,compared to Jap bikes. No dedicated harness is available for the Mille so you have to connect to the bikes wiring behind the dashboard. It is good to know you are in top(only pro).

My Datatool Digi gear indicator works perfectly. It's wired in correctly behind the clocks as per the instructions. The only thing i've had to do is to recalibrate it when i changed the gearing to 16/44 but this is fairly easy to do. Arleyal it may be yours just needs calibrating correctly.

What's the reason for them not working well on Mille's :confused
