Developed a Creaking/squeaking, anyone know what it could be?

Hey guys,

My bike, rsv mille 2003, developed a squeaking today. Sounds like its coming from the shock area. Thought maybe its a seized bottom linkage? Or could it be swing arm pivot? Any other ideas?

Yes,but be VERY carefull when you push the pins back thru that you don't catch and displace any rollers. They can be a B***h to get them all back in in again.

Easier than replacing the bearings if you dont want to mess up the seals

Best to just replace bearings whilst you are in there, no point in having to go back to it later, it is not that bad a job, and by the time you have fiddled with pins you will have the new bearings in anyway, won't ya Ian:nana
