Dead dash......

Was riding back home from Donington on Saturday and noticed that my dash had gone dead and then my alarm started going off, so I pulled over. I then stalled the bike and tried firing it back up but nothing.

I phoned breakdown and while I was waiting I thought "maybe it's a blown fuse?" but I annoyingly had left my toolkit at home so couldn't check myself.

The recovery guy turned up, assessed the bike and came to the same conclusion, a fuse had blown. Hed replaced it and so I set off again. 10 mins down the road and the dash went blank again so I thought "**** it!" and decided just to get home, turning the alarm off every time it went off.

I knew I had to fill-up soon but didn't know when and couldn't get fuel as the bike wouldn't fire-up again if I turned it off. So I trundled from Nottingham back to Lincoln, going no faster than 60 as I was worried about running dry! Replaced the fuse when I got home.

Anyway, I've been having a look at the bike today. Everything seems fine (the dash came on) but at one point, the diagnostics bit came up on the dash without me even hooking it up. I turned the ignition off/on and it had gone. I'm concerned that I'll have another blown fuse when I get out on the road. As some of you will know, the same fuse is for the ignition/dash/controls/brake light.

Any ideas?
