Dead Dash ! Any Suggestions ?

Hi all, I have had my Tuono sitting in the garage for over a year now unregistered and not working due to the dash dying after being caught out in the rain. I removed it the next day and attempted to dry it out but no luck. Does anybody have any clues on how to fix it without having to fork out for a new unit ? Here's a link to the video I made showing what happens. Once fixed & serviced I'm going to sell it and get back into dirt bikes, so if anyone's looking for a near new bike give me a call.

not good, could get an auto electrician to check it out but probably need a need one i think.

Holly crap, just looked and they're around $1300 US for a new one :-( http://www.af1racing.com/store/Scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=3264

HOWEVER,

If you don't care about original or can't source one then this is another option and much much cheaper.

Thanks for that info, It looks fine and given that mine just got a small taste of North Queensland liquid sunshine I'm guessing the original is typical of Italian electrical engineering so a genuine replacement would just do a repeat of the same scenario. doe's this replacement unit require any special installation i.e changes to the wiring loom and bracketing or does it just plug right in ?

Cheers and thanks for your reply

Don't know, might be a little different with the imobilizer setup. Just send them an email i guess. You should be able to find something similar that will work anyway as I'm sure you're not the first to swap it over.
Good luck.

OR

You could maybe go a simpler one like the VAPOR system for road or dirt.
