Db Tester

Thinking of doing a trackday in the near future, have recently fitted some db killers to my akra sbk system that dont seem to have made a great deal of difference. Does anyone know of somewhere in the Hampshire-Wiltshire area where I could get my system tested, dont wanna turn up and then get told to go home :bawling

Cheers

i did donington last year with focused events on falco, i had art cans on {mega loud} not a problem but i did take my standard cans in back of the van in case i got black flag good luck with the db tester.

Its hard to tell how anal they are going to be, did mallory on another bike and no-one got tested, on the other hand did snetterton and the noise nazi's were in full effect.

The obvious answer is don't go an a quiet day. Mallory is a good choice as they don't actually have a DB tester on track days!

My RSVR with Akra cans has recorded between 100.5 and 104 at Snetterton on different days and oddly the R6 I've just sold with full M4 system recorded between 98.4 and 104.9. I've seen (heard?) some deafening race singles & Duc twins get through at Snett so that's probably a good track to start at.

If your DB killers are hollow you can tape up the end inside the can (before you fit them), this will drop the noise for long enough to pass a DB test (for 105 not 98).

As tiga says take the stock cans, it will run bit rich but will still be ok.

.....good idea, but don't they sometimes have drive by testers in the circuit itself on random occasions? May well be wrong but im sure ive heard that they do, to stop people passing the test before fitting a loud can and heading out.

Donington has (or, er, had).
