Anything that restricts the gas flow in or out of the motor is going to have a detrimental effect on power in my opinion.
On my R1 I noticed a difference at MOT time when I fitted the baffles and the same with the rest of my bikes.
My AR came with a baffle, but I doubt if it will end up anywhere near the can in the near future :thumbup
