Rev light is user settable RTM

Oil light needs checking out.

Low oil, low pressure, wrong oil, oil sender duff etc.

right a little worried about this oil light !!!

i read in my haynes manual that the oil light should go out after a few seconds etc...

mine doesnt it only goes out when the revs increase...

the oil level is above he min just below about half full in the tube between the low and max marker...

coud it be that its just needs a little more oil ?

The light is for low oil pressure, not level, so adding more oil won't help. I would check the cheapest things first like the pressure switch. When was the oil last changed and was the correct type used? If these are ok, then it could be more serious like a worn oil pump, especially if the bike has done a lot of miles.

gona do an oil change and see how it is....

the haynes manual said if the oil is old it may light up..

just seems weird that it only does it when turned off or idle and goes out when revs ?

will look to put another pressure switch in also just incase...
