I've been on here now since January, keeping up to date with all the threads, and am starting to notice a large number guys on here that have suffered damage in the last 4 months.:dunno:confused Some crash damage, some falling over stationary damage (paddock/ side stand incidents). has anyone else noticed this, and is this normal. It may be due to the large number of members on the forum, it may be due to aprilia owners being more carless than others, or it may be down to aprilias being ridden to their limits. it may be down to alot of guys riding in all conditions all year round (not being hondawakiyahmasuki fair weather riders). What i hope its not, is part of owning an aprilia, i have had my fair share of stationary and crash damage in the past, and strive to keep my pride and joys pristine.
What thoughts have you on the subject, and what about compiling a list of all damaged sastained in say, the last 6 months, and the cause. be intersting to see if there is a TREND.

i had a spill dude but that was down to 3 things 1, not enough experience. 2,Dosey old ****. 3,damn brembo brakes "bloody sensitive" :)

I recon it's common to whatever type of bike you ride, there will always be the silly mishaps, cars pulling out on us, careless riding, dangerous riding. Doesn't matter if it's an Aprilia or hondawakiyahmasuki :biggrin There's bound to be more accidents as the weather gets better as more riders will venture out after wrapping up over the winter. I rode all year round but still manage to get dumped on the floor :jack

Clumsy sod here, dropped mine in the garage..But also dropped Fireblade previously in garden, and a Kawasaki ZX9 because I'd forgotten to take the disc lock off...Though am pretty safe on the road (Touch wood):dowhat

Haaaaaa your like a real life chuckle brother, :biggrin

Sorry bud dont mean to laugh, its so harsh its funny :thumbup

its life on a bike i think !
matters not what you ride its how lucky you are i think had a couple of offs but hey its there to be ridden so i ride it:thumbup

According to an article in Superbike or Ride, you are most likely to crash in Springtime and the reason is because many riders don't ride in winter and in springtime they push too much too soon....Then of course other road users, a couple of guys here have had crashed due to negligence from other vehicles. Can you avoid that? I guess people riding Milles will not ride as defensevely as other bikers riding a tourer for instance so it will always be difficult to avoid (just a thought). As per stationary/padock incidents could be a down to pure clumsiness, slippery pavement etc etc. I dropped my FZ6 twince because I forgot to take the disk lock off :jack
