Crash Bungs

O

Ozzie

Anyone got any ideas on which crash bungs I can fit to my T without having to cut any panels etc.

These work well

I would guess that there are a number of good products on the market.

The Woodcraft Front Frame Sliders that I purchased are really well designed and easy to install.

RhinoMoto makes good sliders for both the front and rear axles. Both slip right into existing holes.

I purchased these online from AF1 Racing (www.af1racing.com). The site has good pictures of the units installed.

It appears that the front frame sliders will give you the best protection. I am glad that I installed the axle bobbins but I am not really sure that they stick out enough to offer all that much protection.

I was wondering about their (axle mounted sliders) efficacy myself. However, I saw only yesterday a photo of a well worn front axle slider on a downed Tuono. Proof in the pudding, as they say.

R&G protector's on mine aswell and can say they are very good bit's of kit, there is a very small bit off triming to do to the plastic covers for the top engine one's though but is very easy(very small amount to be trimed)i would buy these again without a dowt,

I also beleave that the R&G's are insurance aproved and there is a small discount to be had on your insurance policy(carol nash is one):thumbup

Apologies for going over old ground here. Seen some woodcraft ones on ebay from america for $160 (approx £101) including shipping , or Bike HPS for roughly the same price. Any views either way on each brand of sliders? No bodywork mods with either.

Two sets of R&g's on our tuono but were finding the lower ones catch our knees

Are all the lowere ones like that?

Might get used to it but its a pest for now

The lower ones are a pain but they're the most important as they normally take the biggest hit (along with the bars). It's not unknown for a pedal or lever to damage the frame, which can write the whole bike off!!

The one useful thing about them is you can stretch your legs out on top of them on a long ride

Yep easy rider styley and R&G sell all the bits seperately. The bar ends are good. My bike would be bean cans now if it wasn't for the big booger.

Just to agree with Rusty & Nob. The lower frame one is the one that takes the pain in a lowside. The gear or brake lever can punch a hole in the casting at the rear of the frame, bike gets written off for falling off it's (dodgy) stand.
You soon get used to them being there and stop catching your shins.

My Factory fell over at the petrol pump as I paid last year and thank to Messrs R&G all I had to replace was the rear indicator lens.
