hi pal.
efi light should come on everytime ignitions switched on,then go out after 3 seconds or so,if it stays on or flashes youve got a problem.
taken from another site....
Q"There is no fault code 0,1 or -1 this is the setting fur yer throttle position sensor it is no a fault code."
also....
A"If it shows Dia 1 on the dash then the diag connector is permanently connected which is shouldn't be and is showing throttle positions.
If the alarm has given problems i would look there first. They are notorious for similar problems. Disconnect it and try with it disabled."
"Sounds like either a wiring isse to the fuel pump or the pump itself.
A."You could try the tip over switch as that cuts power to the fuel pump and injectors when it's activated. It's easy to fit it upside down if it's been removed or it could be faulty.
With regards the wiring it's simialr to a friends problem where he had intermittent fuel pump issues"
"--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
all sorted. After checking most of the parts on a working mille(Thanks to gp motorcyles)no charge.Fitted new batt, new sidestand switch, solding iron, tape, and a heater for the garage done some late and cold nights in there.Found out there is a connecting block behind the ecu with two blue wires which need to be jumped across to create a circirt(accs fitting block for alarm)now power to pump, EFI shows on dash, push starter and she starts,so went out on tues for run everything seams fine"
Q"I was riding along yesterday minding my own buisness when the info on the right hand screen goes out and is replaced with " Diag 1". I stopped the bike and then restarted it and everything was back to normal - the message was gone. Any ideas?"
A."-1, 0, 1 on the dash means the ecu has entered diag mode and is giving you the throttle postion code.
You haven't connected the diag wires under the seat have you by mistake?
Or maybe water in the connector"
dunno if any of these help you pal, theyre all coming up under diag 1 problems??!!
the most common answer seems to be that diag1 only appears when the 2 connectors (which should be kept apart unless you get efi on dash, then you connect them to get a fault code)
have been connected, its telling you your in diagnosis mode mate, and is therefore just giving throttle position code.
check that the 2 connectors arent connected under the seat 1st.
someone cleverer will be along shortly lol.
good luck.
