Correct Piston installation

I am rebuilding a 2004 engine and now need to fit the pistons. After researching many manuals I only found 1 comment that states that the gudgeon pins are off-set and pistons must be installed with the pin off-set to the front of the vehicle. I would appreciate any comments for some peace of mind.
