Hi guys noob question I know what is best oil for my mille
Its 2000 plate will 10w/40 part synthetic
Be ok cheers

there's no definitive answer to this and I believe there is a lot of rubbish talked about oil some people have very strong opinions, ie oil A is fantastic while oil B is utter sh%te etc etc, the truth is all the branded oils are much of a muchness, I'm not saying all oils are the same they aren't, cheap non branded oils should be avoided likewise car oil, but any difference between premium brand 4 stroke motorcycle oils will be negligible.
Aprilia recommend 15w50 semi synth so most use 15w50 semi synth, but depending on your climate/season 10w40 is also an option, IMHO the best option for a UK based bike is stick to what Aprilia recommends 15w50 semi, check out Opie oils for an idea of what's available and what it costs, which brand is up to you (I generally use Motul but if Silkolene was cheaper I'd buy that) use any decent brand and you won't go far wrong.

Yip, agreed.

I found if I used oil of a different viscosity/weight it just got burned away far too easy. 15w50 works a treat.

I believe that whilst the above is correct in my opinion (which is worth exactly what you're paying me for it ;) ) that if you experience a sticky or slipping clutch it can be affected by the oil.... But I also believe IIRC that this was primarily synth or semi synth rather than the grade.
I think any oil is better than no oil :)
you may find also that the clutch action can be affected by the thickness of the oil and the clutch jet size in certain circumstances. Check if yours has been changed and if not invest the grand sum of 13.90 or thereabouts and set about changing it.

I should make clear this is from the POV of Aprilia Falco experience which for many things is compatible with earlier Mille models
