what and absolute ******* !! ,

im taking early retirement in 5 weeks time as i will be a very young 60 !!!! i was looking forward to a long summer of ride outs without the guilt trip , as wifey is still working full time .
but now im currently on a 12 week self isolate as i have underlying health issues , !!! copd / bronchial asthma .woopde doo
not really what i had in mind , no 60 th birthday bash !! no proper retirement do !! no lads bike holiday !! !!
and im getting sick of gardening !!!!

Hi Hilift that's unlucky timing but you health is more important and on the plus side you have a garden to hand out in myself too . I was hoping to finish April next year will be 60 at the end of this year but looking at my personal pension with whats going on no chance will have to work a few years more if the body will hold out and as of last year working just to cover the bills and contribute 10 grand a year to mums care home , so paying for fuel tyres and services are bloody hard but what the f--k i have got a V4 Tuono to take my mind of all that **** and in 3 weeks when the lockdown is over it will it will be out that the door for a 300 mile ride . Stay safe man
 
yes the care home fee,s are astronomical !! my mum was in a care home for 3 years ,she past away may last year . we were renting her house out help pay the fees .
we have sold the house now and completed on the sale 3 weeks ago !!
 
Hi Hilift sorry to hear about you mum . Great you got the house sold just in time my wife's fathers house sale should have completed today but got put on hold last week 2 down the chain the wife had gone in to hospital with this Covid 19 . My wife's father is now in care at £ 49 k a year and my Mum at £ 53 k a year and both having to self fund in madness . Will you be able to get out on the bike after the lockdown in a few weeks my plan is to take a drink and sandwich and then only have to get fuel will take a glove to use pump and card machine but still get to ride safe
 
Hi H, sorry to hear aboot yer Mum and yer current predicament,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,this is going to be the longest winter shut down ever. :confused:

As for retiring that's oot the windae fir me,,,,,,,pension pot decimated,,,,,,,prospects of work after this is over looking grim.

Sun is shining and not a cloud in the sky and I'm sitting in front of ma pooter typing *****,,,,,,,,,,a need ma bike fix.
