Coolant Level

Is it just my bike. How difficult is it to see the coolant level through the tiny spy hole on the expansion reservoir. I can't see a poxy thing.

no..the viewing windows are ***** on all models.....
i take the cap off...roll up a piece of paper and dip it in (like a dipstick) , u can roughly guess where the level is that way.
Nothing else worked for me (shining torches ect ect)

On my Gen 2 I have to unbolt the plastic reservoir cover to be able to see how much coolant I have, the viewing slot is a waste of time.

aye its pish richt enough..jist anither o the many wee annoyin things aboot Tuonos..but hey who cares, wid hae bocht a ergonomically perfectly designed Beemer or Honda if ah wanted simple an dull.

Like the dippin paper idea tho...

Thought aboot putin in some food colouring to dye the coolant even more.
No doubt someone will tell me that it'll blow the engine to bits.

Shine a torch from underneath - you can see the level no probs that way. :thumbup
