My 2007 dropped a load of coolant the other day, i found the culprit which was a lower radiator pipe which had pulled itself free. Problem now is that i have lost all the fluid and need to fill it again rather than just topping back up. I haven't done this before. I don't have any bike shops locally s3o ended up buying some non bike specific coolant but it is nitrate free and says it can be used on Aluminium type engines and is ok for bikes - i assume its ok to use - or should i hope out and order in bike stuff?
I have drained the coolant but have not flushed out - not sure how to do this - any tips?
Also, i have read up on the method of filling up but unsure when i run the bike to get the coolant flowing - any tips appreciated?
