Seriously thinking of fitting a top yoke kit like the one from cool n comfy for a more upright position, the kit in question is for yoke, risers, brake line and clutch line. has anyone here fitted the whole kit from them?, the whole cost is £288 inc postage to highlands which i think is good value since all other kits are £400 - £500.

i have heard that the risers supplied are not high enough to clear the forks?, has anyone fitted them?.

thanks in advance for any info. also is there a discount code if anyone has one

uhh....

The kit he makes is good. The guy himself is a tard, though. If he sends you everything you'll be pleased with it. However if you have the Showa forks you need the extra risers that raise the clamps from the yokes by about 20mm so the bars clear the fork adjusters. He didn't send me these and messed me around for a good month before finally making some up and posting them. I remember phoning him on a wednesday when he'd apparently posted them on the monday, he swore blind he'd posted them on the monday - they turned up on either the thursday or friday with a postage sent date of the wednesday :jack

Also, in my opinion the bars need more of a rise as, even with the spacers the levers on just clear the front subframe with the levers set very flat. And the brake lines he sends you (two single ones) won't stretch over a steering damper if you have one and you order the showa kit.

He/the kit might have changed though.

As ttm says "the bloke is a turd" i will lay money on it that the arsehole he refers to was based in Blackburn lancs, if its him [ i call him the funeral director, cos his excuse is usually a death in the family, either hes fekin inlucky or a ginx im not sure] anyway if its him may the gods look after you cos he wont, the kits really nice and made my arse vee R a really comfy bike a bit like a mad crosser on acid, couple of tips if you deal with him 1, you dont need longer throttle cables ,they fit between spacers he sometimes sends, 2 make sure he doesnt give you bolts that are to long for spacers [if you get them],3 you need to cut 5 yes 5 inches of the fairing and then the mast cylinders will still touch 5 he is an arse yet i have met him and you would think he was a top chap! we live and learn ps the fairing on mine is cut right down to the mirror mounts and even those have had a shave. good luck!

signed up just to add my thoughts, they may be of some use, my bank is currently bringing a dispute case against this titend to recover my money from a cancelled order. After 5 weeks of excuses about delivery, blatant lying etc I was quite within my rights to cancel my order and get a refund, the bloke comes on the phone to me and gives another delivery date, no good to me I say I want a refund....ok no problem he says....yeah right !! Most people you deal with for this kinda stuff are honest and upfront, pity about the few PITA's that make it hard work :jack:jack

Anyways..Good Luck

cheers lads, think i will stay away from topyokes and look into buying another yoke and weld on tuono risers, unless i find a second hand yoke with all the bits for sale.

Just signed up as looking for a yoke and saw one on ebay going cheap for a conversion....BUT welded risers? Is that possible. I thought the standard yokes were cast and the risers solid alloy. Would it not be like bolting chipboard to hardwood?

I too have just signed up just to add my experience of top yokes i ordered a kit for my thunderace back in july having been promised a 3 week delivery , i rang a week before the delivery date to be told there was a problem with the anodizer , ok i said send me one raw and i'll paint it , no problem it's on it's way , bearing in mind i had a trip to corsica booked i started to get nervous , 3 days before i leave for corsica i ring again , sorry can't send it until next week you'll have to have a refund , it's now november and after numerous phone calls and emails and promises i've still had nothing , under no circumstances deal with this f@#éing c@#t

Fitted to my GSX-R750...Id have to say it ruined the bikes handling; utterly. Tank slapping, arse kicking , bite your head off wheelie monster killing machine.....horrible !
