Hey all!

My RSV clutch are not working 100%, and as I understand thats a normal problem on this bikes.

I was thinking of buy a Barnett Kit, is these kits good?

... and when I am thinking about upgrade the plates in the clutch, I also thinking about the slave cylinder, its mayby a nice plan to change this to?

It would be nice with some easier hand power on the clutch when driving in city. Is this worth the money?

Witch is that the best?

... and a last question. :biggrin

Where can I buy this stuff? Is ebay best?

One more question:

Ever since I bought the bike there have always been a little sound then its in neutral and the clutch not working, what does this depend on? Is this a normal sound?

Sorry for all the posts.

I looked around on ebay is this what I am looking for?

Barnett:

Slave cylinder:

Edit: After searching in this forum for the beast sollution to this clutch problem I really dont know the result, some change the springs, some change to barnett. What chould I do? The clutch is "slipping" on high rpm.

Its slipping on high revs, in many gears.

The problem came after I installed chip, open air and slipon.

Edit: And when I strip the bike down I think mayby ist time for the slave cylinder change, it would be nice with a easier clutch.

Clutch plates are worn, bleeding the clutch wont help.

The easye thing would be to change the clutch plates.

The cheapest, put he clutch plates out and roughten then a bit with sand paper and put them back in. But sooner or later you will have to change them.

MPL slave cylinder is what you want

DONT buy from an ebay seller called CEEPEEEDDEE hes a fanny wipe. that sells crap stuff and doesnt refund money

Take the plates out roughen the steels up by using sandpaper and then check the spring lengths as my plates where fine and i changed to the heavy duty Touno stainless springs and hey presto works a treat.

check the rubber seal in the resovoir is not inside out it should be 10mm thick.

Another thing to check may be any adjustment up at your master cylinder ( clutch pump ) on the handle bar. Should you have aftermarket levers with adjustments, they may be adjusted in too far and thus keeping some pressure in the line and allowing the clutch to slip.

sorry to hijack..

just wanna some clarify on my clutch..or might be gear

after let it sat for almost 3 months.. it didn't shifting smoothly (upshift only).. and hard to get neutral..

is that mean i need to bleed the clutch..?
