clutch slave cylinder

I'll be interested to know this one..as mine is leaking fluid and I'm thinking about replacing with an oberon unit..i'll keep an eye on this and what the fellow mille folk say..

hi guys its a doddle to change only 3 x 5mm allen bolts and its done . tools req: 5 mm allen key ,14mm spanner ..
take off left side fairing ,undo clutch flexi pipe ,undo the 3 allen bolts ,lift out slave cylinder ...very easy fit new slave bleed clutch job done

i fitted an oberon unit 2 months ago, wasnt that impressed at first but either my forearms have got stronger or it has eased up a bit and it now feels lighter then standard, not light though. ive heard the mpl units are better. either way they are all a piece of piss to fit, just use the normal method for bleeding and adjust clutch lever at screw by clutch lever pivot.

Cheers for that..oberon unit has been ordered today..when you say about adjusting the clutch lever at the screw by the clutch lever pivot..what do you mean?..sorry to be a dumb ***!

no worries, you have the span adjuster on the actual clutch lever, however, there is a small screw which adjusts the travel of the clutch master cylinder. this screw sits just inside the pivot point of the clutch lever. it has a small rubber shroud around it aswell. someone else may be able to describe the positioning better then me (damn my poor vocabulary!), but using this screw i managed to adjust the bite point of the clutch to my liking, also the new slave cylinder i had wasnt bleeding properly until i adjusted this screw correctly as it wasnt set properly, thus not displacing all the air in the clutch system. it was just trial and error for me, now i have it set perfect for the span adjustment i like and clutch up wheelies can actually be done now i have more then 2mm of clutch lever travel! ;)
