Clutch slave cylinder

M

milliemonkey

My clutch is so heavy on my 52 mille R that it hurts after a couple of hundred miles completly ruining my riding enjoyment.

As I've off to the alps in May I need to get it sorted. People on this board have said that you can buy and fit some aftermarket clutch slave cylinder and use it to replace the existing one making our clutch changes a lot easier.

Thing is. Where do I buy one from and where/how do i fit it?

PLEASSSSSSEE help.

An MPL slave cylinder is the beast you are after, found on ebay.
also
Change the Oil control jet for a #40 size.

Guys

i'm working with MPL/Griff for him to be a distributer for MPL after a discussion yesterday.
I don't see why it wouldn't happen as Griff is aware of the Ebay scenario. He should be able to be a match on price for the best out there hopefully.

If you need one in a hurry go for it but if you can hang on a bit and give him your business it would be sweet. :thumbup

Just a heads up really that it could happen soon. :devious

I recommend the Griff/Spoonz option to purchase, we did a group buy on the MPL units a few months ago and it has to be the top mod on an RSV.

I'm a weak office paperclip manager and the clutch action round town really took the joy out of riding the bike, the MPL from Spoonz soon sorted that and put the grin back on my chops.

Support Griff/Spoonz - they are very helpful guys who go out of their way to help us, only right we give them our business.

Rob,

Those things are a doddle to fit, if you can't get hold of griff drop me an email at work, I am in next week and can meet up if you want.

I have one on my bike btw, and the jet change too.....top mod

Griff's base is in Tamworh, Staffordshire. Junction 10 M42.
But you'll see on the other threads he's doing the tours at the moment.
Give him a bell and he'll help you out 01827 285500

im thinking about one of those there new fangled slave cylinders as i wanna fit ASV Shorty levers... bled my clutch last night though and its a whole lot better than it was before, where ever serviced my bike for the last 5 years obviously overlooked it as the fluid was ******* minging so i doubt its EVER been done, makes me angry! but then ive been in workshops working with guys in a dealership who used to cut corners (you would be disgusted if i told you some of the stories)

Hey Hey... great minds think alike!!!!

Loved the ASV's since i fitted a set to a 1098 for someone, get some pics up dude!

georgous levers dude.

By the way. I wonder how heavy Rossi's clutch is. You would have thought it's be super heavy what with the massive power it has to deal with
