whih one of you clever folks is going to point me in the direction of a good clutch slave cylinder rebuild guide.
seal has gone on mine and i'm keen to sort it myself
owners manual doesnt even mention it

usually on ebay all the time and made in germany. For some reason they aren't on there now.

Are they just a straight swap for the existing slave cylinder and apart from the lighter action (and looking cool) what other benefit(s) does it give you? Does it stop the fluid getting contaminated? And finally, how long did the job take you?

Sorry to be a pain but I've been considering this upgrade for a while now.

Yeah, straight swap. Very easy job, once you've got to it about 1 hour incl removing fairings, draining, fitting and re-filling. I believe it's supposed to make a better seal to stop air being drawn into the system and fluid leaking out. Mine had been leaking as the Foam on the inside of the fairing was soaked with fluid.
Also, my Banjo bolt was rotten to the point that i couldn't actually bleed the system. So new stainless banjo as well.
To completely clean the fluid you'll need to remove the resevoir and rinse with some clean fluid. If you're lazy like me you'll just run clean fluid through a couple of times.
Next job for me, new clutch plates.

Many thanks BM, that's put my mind at rest - I think I'll order one from Germany.

mine was the same, leaking fluid soaking into the foam inside the fairing, but my slave cylinder was leaking due to having the wrong length bolts in it.
was leaking and sucking air in like a good un.
ive got a set of clutch plates waiting to go in next tho, just incase.
