Clutch master gone. Rebuild or replace??

I`m assuming its the clutch master. Pull the clutch half way and hold it, it looses pressure you you see the resovoir level rise until levers back to the bar. Let go and grab a fresh pump, fluid level goes back down, as pressure returns, before dropping again.
Doh!

Is it worth rebuilding it? or easier just to replace??

Most put the aftermarket units on but tryed a mates MPL unit & wouldnt work with my Barnett race clutch so just changed my seals in the original unit with thin lip ones . Being sweet since !

Thin lip ones? Why not original spec??
Simple job? How much the seals cost?

Are you talking about the master or slave cylinder? As far as I am aware, MPL manufacture slave cylinders, not master.

Yea sorry Master cylinder ... Thin lip so not as much drag , abit like the twin lip seal like the GSXR frok seal most use rather than the standard Ohlins single lip seals , got seal through my workshop so less than $20

Ahh gotcha. Is it a simple job? For man with a plastic bag of odd tools...
Can't picture it at the momment.

Also interested in the two lip fork seals, my left one is leaking quite badly :/...

Yea easy job if you know abit about bikes etc . Most use the R1 or the GSXR 1000 fork seals ... But funny enough last time I was having a coffee at my local Ohlins guy he showed me the new Ohlins seals & they looked just like the GSXR Twin lip seals maybe they have realized they had to change as their single lip seals as they were known to leak ?

Do you know exactly which model r1 or gsxr seals are the best fit?? Part number would be awesome! Could well do without getting the wrong ones! Mines an 02 haga, so the non radial ohlins.

Really appreciate the info. Woulda been pissed if I replaced my leaky one with oe, then realised there was a better alternative!

Well have to check ..... Think 03 GSXR 1000 seals are what are in my Ohlins now but will try to get correct one for you .

Thanks mate, much appriecated. Any chance you could get me a seal for the clutch too??! :D

Steves the fork seals are gsxr k4, think I have some in stock will check tomorrow if you want.
