clutch consistently needs bleeding

leeds
had a few clutch probs, i.e. it got to the stage that with the lever fully in it was on the grabbing point. So, at a standstill i've had to have the brake on and almost stalling it. had the clutch bled at a garage, seemed sweet for about 200 miles, then same problem. i'm now bleeding it every 150ish miles so sometimes mid ride, pain in the you knows! does anyone know why i am needing to bleed it so much? that is how is air getting in so readily?

i also tried the reverse syringe bleed technique thing but couldnt seem to force any juice through any idea what i'm doing wrong?

many thanks

Could be the seal in the M/C but some bikes just seem to do it more than others.

I had 2 warranty M/C and it still happened although high temp fluid helps.
I also made a pin hole with a hot pin in the M/C pushrod dustboot as Brembo say there was an issue with it trapping air between it and the seal and forcing it past when you used the clutch.

fair play, pretty frustrating though aye! the last bits interesting though, had to fit a new clutch lever n it seems to have got worse since that so maybe that did something like you say about forcing air in

I've got the same trouble! all I do is every so often, "once a week" cable tie the lever to the bar and slacken the resiviour cap, leave overnight then tighten cap cut cable tie and hey presto!

Had same problem with my 05 rsvr, swapped out the clutch slave with one made by MPL, changed to synthetic fluid and swapped the Jet 60 for a jet 40 and haven't had problems since then. The biggest improvement was felt from the MPL clutch slave, though I would recommend all of it unless your bike is new enough to have jet 40.

na shes also an 05, what are these mpl's and where do i get one from?

cheers!
