Hello all I just bought a Aprilia RSVR on a 51 plate it's the first v4 I have had I a jap 600 before anyway I have noticed that when you come off the power I get a clunk noise I am convinced it just the engine braking taking up the slack in the chain but hopeing someone else may have had the same problem and can spread some light on it

Welcome aboard Scuff, One small problem its a V2 ......

Chain tension is really important on these and needs to be set to 25mm no more no less, so thats the 1st place to check.
Can you make it clunk by rocking the suspension ?

check also if the teflon / Nylon chain slider has worn through close to your front sprocket. If it has happened, then the chain starts eating the metal of the swing-arm

It doesn't make a noise when you push it and put the bake on it just seems to happen when you let of the throttle quick
